Abstract
It was found that the weak electrochemiluminescence signal of tris(2,2′-bipyridyl) ruthenium (II) (Ru(bpy)32+) could be enhanced by kinetin at the carbon nanotube/Nafion composite modified electrode. Based on this, a highly sensitive and novel ECL method for the determination of kinetin was developed. The kinetin concentration in the range of 0.05–40 μg l−1 was proportional to the enhanced ECL intensity, the detection limit for kinetin was 0.02 μg l−1, and the relative standard derivation was 5.8% (n = 11, c = 5.0 μg l−1).
