Abstract
⺠Electron attachment to C6F14, C6F11CF3 and C6F11C(O)Cl leads to effective decomposition of the molecules in the subexcitation energy range (<3 eV). ⺠Perfluorocompounds preferentially decompose into closed shell anions of the form CnF2n+1â. ⺠The resonance positions for Fâ formation show specific features for the three compounds thereby allowing to predict the site from which Fâ originates.
