Abstract
â¶ Higher-order multipole components are varied individually in a novel quadrupole ion trap. â¶ Variations in octopole and dodecapole affect resolution, signal-to-noise, and dipole ejection. â¶ The results of forward vs. reverse scan are given for various combinations of higher-order fields.
