Abstract
ⶠHigher-order multipole components are varied individually in a novel quadrupole ion trap. ⶠVariations in octopole and dodecapole affect resolution, signal-to-noise, and dipole ejection. ⶠThe results of forward vs. reverse scan are given for various combinations of higher-order fields.
