Abstract
We report absolute differential and integral cross-sections for excitation of the six lowest lying electronic states in water. The incident electron energy for this study was 15 eV and the scattered electron angular range, for the differential cross-section measurements, was 10−90°10−90°. Where possible comparison of the present cross-sections with the corresponding results from theory is made, the level of agreement between them being found to be somewhat marginal.
