Abstract
► 9-Methylhypoxanthine forms magic number cluster, [(MeHyp)4 + Na]+ ion, detected by ESI-MS. ► Inosine and hypoxanthine do not form analogical clusters. ► Magic clusters were also detected for other than sodium alkali metal cations.
