Abstract
The thermal decomposition of poly(oxymethylene) and poly(oxymethylene)-poly(vinyl chloride) mixture has been studied by thermogravimetry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. It has been found that the pyrolysis oil from the mixture, originating from the second stage of a two-stage decomposition ((1) evolution of HCl and (2) pyrolysis of solid residue) contains no organochlorine compounds and no pyrolysis products of poly(oxymethylene).
