Abstract
In pyrolysis process mixed plastic wastes containing polyvinyl chloride release hydrogen chloride which causes not only corrosion of the equipment but also the formation of chloroorganic compounds in oil. This paper describes the effect of Estonian oil shale varieties (Dictyonema shale, Kukersite, its semicoke, ash and oil coke) for fixation of HCl at their copyrolysis with polyvinyl chloride. The distribution of chlorine between solid residue, derived oil and gas in pyrolysis process at different ratio of shale and polyvinylchloride (PVC) is determined.
