Abstract
Pyrolysis and combustion of wood under different oxygen concentrations were studied by using TG-FTIR analysis in this paper. Effects of oxygen concentration on TGA of wood and evolved gas analysis were thoroughly analyzed, and then the process of pyrolysis and combustion of wood was divided into four steps. The apparent activation energy of pyrolysis and combustion varied linearly with oxygen concentration. The effects of oxygen concentration on the mechanism of two stages of combustion of wood were also studied.
