Abstract
⺠The thermal environment of an SFC column affects retention and efficiency. ⺠Still air is the optimum thermal environment for high efficiency SFC separations. ⺠A temperature bias applied to the supply fluid improves efficiency. ⺠Fast, efficient SFC separations are possible near the critical point.
