- A methodology for isolation of polymeric material from sea salt was developed.
- Sea salt contains triacylglycerides, polysaccharides and proteins.
- The major fatty acid residue in sea salt triacylglycerides was palmitic acid.
- Sea salt polysaccharides are highly sulfated.
