Abstract
A LC with full scan MSn method was developed in order to investigate the in vivo absorption and biotransformation of polymethoxylated flavones (PMFs) by analysis of plasma samples from rats after ingestion of Fructus aurantii extract. Four parent compounds and six metabolites with intact flavonoid structures were tentatively identified. The metabolites were either glucuronides of parent compounds or glucuronides of demethylated products of parent compounds.
