Abstract
Isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) is in the group of drugs called nitrates. ISDN dilates (widens) blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump. They are used to beat or prevent attacks of chest pain (angina). The vibrational properties and structural characteristics of the compound ISDN, the density functional theory (DFT) calculation with B3LYP/6-31G(d, p) combination has been carried out.
