Abstract
⺠Interaction of an antitumor drug 9-aminoacridine with uracils and its derivatives were probed through various spectroscopic measurements. ⺠Lifetime measurements support the static quenching mechanism. ⺠Binding constant and number of binding sites were calculated from the fluorescence quenching data. ⺠Rehm-Weller equation confirms the electron transfer process. ⺠The observed results will have great importance in pharmacy, pharmacology and biochemistry.
