Synthesis, crystal structure, magnetic property and thermal studies of [Ni(CH3COO)2·(NH2CH2Ph)4]

► The complex was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. ► The crystal structure reveals that it adopts a slightly distorted octahedral coordination. ► Magnetic studies show the data are well fitted to the Curie-Weiss law with C = 1.03 cm3 K mol−1, θ = −1.38 K. ► The thermal analyses indicate that it is thermally stable up to 100 °C.
