Abstract
⺠Mineralogical composition of the El Pozo meteorite (Mexico) was examined using Raman, FTIR and XRD. ⺠Spectroscopic measurements give basic, first order information on the meteorite mineralogy. ⺠Some metallic phases which did not demonstrate characteristic Raman spectra can be detected by XRD technique. ⺠Raman mapping analysis is a powerful tool for the study of the heterogeneous meteorite samples.
