Abstract

A series of diruthenium(II), [Ru2(tidf)Cl2(H2O)2]·H2O, diiron(II) [Fe2(tidf)(MeOH)4](ClO4)2 and mixed ruthenium(II)–iron(II) [Ru(MeOH)2FeCl(H2O)(tidf)](ClO4) (tidf = a two compartment tetraiminediphenolate macrocycle) complexes were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, UV–vis, cyclic voltammetry and semi-empirical molecular mechanics calculations.
