Abstract
Characterization of trabeculae structures is one of the most important applications of imaging techniques in the biomedical area. The aim of this study was to investigate structure modifications in trabecular and cortical bones using non destructive techniques such as X-ray microtomography, X-ray microfluorescence by synchrotron radiation and scanning electron microscopy. The results obtained reveal the potential of this computational technique to verify the capability of characterization of internal bone structures.
