Abstract
⺠A simple and reproducible carbon microelectrode array has been initially prepared. ⺠Each microelectrode was optimally arranged to avoid diffusive interference. ⺠It was used as a frame to build a gold (Au) microelectrode array sensor. ⺠Au was electrochemically deposited on the individual carbon electrodes. ⺠Highly sensitive detection of Hg2+ was possible using the proposed sensor.
