Abstract
Cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) has been prepared by various wet-chemical techniques, namely: co-precipitation, organo-chemical, wet-chemical oxidation, citrate precursor, polymeric and pyrolysis techniques. X-ray diffractometry was employed to confirm the single phase spinel structure formation and to determine the cell-edge parameter. The optical properties were studied by using Fourier-transform infrared transmission spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy at 300 K.
