Abstract
This communication describes the application of a fiber-optic coupled FT-IR/ATR-probe to study the AlCl3 catalyzed reaction of phenyl isocyanate and phenol to diphenyl urethane in chloroform solution at variable temperatures and to derive the activation energy from the corresponding concentration profiles.
