Abstract
The ultrasonic velocity (U), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) at 298.15 K have been measured in the binary systems of monosaccharides (glucose, fructose and galactose) in aqueous medium. The acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (β), free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), internal pressure (πi), acoustical impedance (Z), relative association (RA), molar sound velocity (R) and molar sound compressibility (W) are calculated. The results are interpreted in terms of molecular interaction between the components of the mixtures.
