Abstract

Ammonium acrylate-1,10-phenanthroline rare earth complexes were synthesized by using rare earth oxides. The rare earth complexes were co-polymerized with methyl-methacrylate (MMA) by radical copolymerization. The rare earth polymer photo luminescent material was obtained. The thermodynamics properties of the copolymer were analyzed by STA. Infrared detector was used to demonstrate the structure of the polymer. XRD was used to analyze the influence on the crystal property of the co-polymer. The fluorescence intensity of the co-polymer was analyzed by fluorescence spectrum. The different influence on the emission intensity from the co-polymer of different formula was studied. The result showed that emission intensity of the co-polymer was changed when different concentration of the rare earth ion in synthesizing the compounds. The concentration quenching appeared when the concentration of rare earth complexes arrived at some value.
