Abstract
The substitution of the bulky substituents, such as the triphenylsilyl groups, on the 9,10-positions of anthracene produced a remarkable increase in Φf, and the substituents controlled the intermolecular stacking by diminishing the electroplex formation and inter- and intra-molecular photochemical reactions. Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) devices composed of these anthracene derivatives showed highly pure blue electroluminescence (EL).
