Abstract
⺠This work comprises a new contribution for the application of ultrasound irradiation to enzymatic esterification for production of high-value compound. ⺠The application of ultrasound irradiation conducted to reasonable reaction rates. ⺠The optimum production was achieved at 70 °C, ascorbic acid to palmitic acid molar ratio of 1:9, enzyme concentration of 5wt% at 3 hours of reaction, resulting in a conversion of 27%.
