Abstract
The first ultrasound-promoted multicomponent synthesis of pyridazinones and phthalazinones from arenes, cyclic anhydrides and ArNHNH2 in the presence of an efficient recyclable catalyst, [bmim]Br/AlCl3, in high yield and short reaction time is reported.
► The first ultrasound-promoted multicomponent synthesis of pyridazinones and phthalazinones is reported. ► All of synthesized compound were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analyses. ► This is the first report for application of ionic liquid as solvent for the synthesis of pyridazinone and phethalazinone.
