Abstract

New Cu+ conducting superionic composites based on Cu6P1 − xAsxS5I solid solutions were fabricated by mixing microcrystalline powder with polyvinyl acetate glue. The comparative analysis of electrical properties in Cu6AsS5I single crystal and composite is performed. Frequency and temperature behaviour of electrical conductivity in Cu6P1 − xAsxS5I composites, measured in the frequency range 10 Hz–3 GHz at 300–400 K are studied. Composition dependences of electrical conductivity and activation energy are analysed. The effect of P → As cation substitution on electrical conductivity and activation energy in Cu6P1 − xAsxS5I composites is investigated.

► Cu6P1 − xAsxS5I superionic composites with polyvinyl acetate glue. ► Frequency and temperature dependences of the conductivity at 10 Hz–3 GHz, 300–400 K. ► P → As cationic substitution decreases the conductivity in Cu6P1 − xAsxS5I system. ► Bulk activation energy in Cu6AsS5I composite equal to the one of the single crystal.
