Abstract
Three dimensionally ordered macroporous Li+ ion conductive membranes of Li0.35La0.55TiO3 were prepared by a colloidal crystal templating method combined with sol–gel process. Colloidal crystal composed of monodisperse polystyrene particles (3 μm diameter) was utilized as a template. Sol of Li–La–Ti–O was prepared from lithium acetate, lanthanum acetate, and titanium tetraisopropoxide. The sol was injected into the template, and it was converted to gel. Polystyrene particles were removed by calcinations at high temperatures, and then macroporous Li0.35La0.55TiO3 was obtained. Li+ ion conductivity in the crystal grain part of Li0.35La0.55TiO3 annealed at 1000 °C was 2 × 10− 4 S cm− 1 at room temperature.
