Abstract
The novel perovskite-type oxyfluorides Ba4 â 0.5xIn2Zr2O11 â xFx (x â¤Â 0.3) were synthesized and their structure (X-ray, infrared spectroscopy), thermal properties, hydration behavior and electrical properties have been investigated. These phases are capable of dissociative dissolution of water and can exhibit proton transport. Electrical conductivity were measured with varying T in dry (pH2O = 4.5 · 10â 4 atm) and wet (pH2O = 1.42 · 10â 2 atm) atmospheres. It was established that small Fâ-concentrations can improve proton conductivities.
