Abstract
► Channeled cermets (from a fusion technique) are compared with conventional cermets. ► Cermets are composed of metallic cobalt and gadolinia doped ceria (GDC). ► Channeled cermets consist of alternating lamellas of porous Co and GDC. ► Redox behaviour is strongly dependent on the microstructure of the cermet precursors. ► Channeled cermets degrade more slowly than conventional ceramics due to the interfaces.
