Abstract
⺠Channeled cermets (from a fusion technique) are compared with conventional cermets. ⺠Cermets are composed of metallic cobalt and gadolinia doped ceria (GDC). ⺠Channeled cermets consist of alternating lamellas of porous Co and GDC. ⺠Redox behaviour is strongly dependent on the microstructure of the cermet precursors. ⺠Channeled cermets degrade more slowly than conventional ceramics due to the interfaces.
