Abstract
Transition metal bis-dithiolene complexes show a large variety of physical properties such as conductivity, magnetism, optics, which render them attractive for new generations of devices. This review scans neutral d8 metal bis-dithiolene complexes as a function of their chemical structure, and the properties that make them top-quality products for applications in the opto-electronic domain.
