Abstract
This review highlights the synthesis and applications of bimetallic and heteroatoms stannanes R3SnM (MÂ =Â Si, Sn, Ge, P, As, Sb, S, Se, and Te) derived from elements of the groups XIV, XV, and XVI. Different types of reactions are described: transition metal-catalyzed addition of hetero-bimetallic (R3Sn-SiR13 or R3Sn-SnR13) compounds to multiple bonds, transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of the organostannanes with a variety of electrophiles and other general reactions, such as substitution or complex formation.
