Abstract
This review deals with copper and potassium complexes derived from flavonol and 1H-2-phenyl-3-hydroxy-4-oxoquinoline and covers various aspects, synthesis, spectroscopic features and chemical reactivity of these compounds. Application of these complexes as structural and their oxygenation reactions as biomimetic functional models with relevance to flavonol and 3-hydroxyquinolin-4(1H)-one 2,4-dioxygenases are briefly described in the respected sections.
