Abstract
Binuclear tetra-acetate bridged GdIII complex [Gd2(μ2-O2CMe)4(H2L)2](ClO4)2·2H2O·2MeOH was synthesized, where linear polydenate ligand H2L functions as a binding ligand without coordination to two GdIII ions. A weak anti-ferromagnetic GdIII-GdIII interaction was observed.
