Abstract
Four new rod-shaped [Mn6] complexes have been synthesized and found to possess non-zero ground state spins and appreciable magnetoanisotropy. High frequency (up to 10,000Â Hz) AC susceptibility measurements were also carried out. The presence of frequency-dependent out-of-phase signals in the AC susceptibility confirms that these complexes exhibit single-molecule magnet behavior.
