Abstract
[Ru2(O2CMe)4]2[Ni(CN)4] has been constructed from the reaction of [Ru2(O2CMe)4]+ and [Ni(CN)4]2â and forms the targeted layered structure; however, the Ru-NC angles, and the Ru-NC-Ni linkages are not linear as would be expected for the formally sp hybridized cyanide bridging ligand.
