Abstract
A one-dimensional polymeric copper(II) complex bridged both by μ-trans-oxamidate and thiocyanate ligands was synthesized. The crystal structure of the complex has been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The results of the DNA-binding studies indicate that the copper(II) polymer interacts with DNA in the groove binding mode.
