Two new compounds [Cu(enMe)2][Cu(enMe)2(H2O)][SiMoV6MoVI6Sb2O40] (1) and [Ni(en)2]2[SiMoV6MoVI6Sb2O40] (2) (enMe = 1,2-diaminopropane, en = 1,2-ethylenediamine) have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by IR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), powder XRD analyses, elemental analyses and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The two compounds represent the first examples of hybrids based on bi-antimony capped Keggin polyanions {SiMo12Sb2O40} and different transition metal coordination complexes.
