Abstract
Compounds of the types cis- and trans-[Pt(pyrazine)2(Ypy)2](NO3)2 were synthesized and characterized by IR and multinuclear (195Pt, 1H and 13C) magnetic resonance spectroscopies. Rotamers were observed for Ypy = ortho-substituted pyridine. The coupling constants J(195Pt-1H) and J(195Pt-13C) are slightly larger for the cis isomers than for the trans compounds.
