Abstract
The photochemical reactions between OCSe and Cl2 or Br2 isolated in solid argon at cryogenic temperatures were studied by FTIR spectroscopy. The OCSeâ¯Cl2, OCSeâ¯Br2 and SeCOâ¯Br2 molecular complexes were identified. The hitherto unknown syn- and anti-ClC(O)SeCl and syn-BrC(O)SeBr molecules were formed by UV-Vis irradiation of the matrix.
