Abstract
⺠New gold-rhenium clusters 4 and 5 were synthesized by the reaction of Au(PPh3)(C4Fc) with Re2(CO)8(NCMe)2. ⺠Formation of cluster 5 is accompanied by the cleavage of the С-С bond of the parent butadiynyl ligand. ⺠X-ray structure of gold-rhenium clusters 4 and 5. ⺠Cluster 5 contains two moieties, dicarbide μ4-C2 and alkynyl μ3-C2Fc.
