Abstract
The synthesis and structure of [Cu(T1Et4iPrIP)(CH3OH)Cl]Cl (T1Et4iPrIPÂ =Â tris(1-ethyl-4-isopropyl-imidazolyl)phosphine) is reported. The copper center resides in distorted square pyramidal geometry and exhibits weak in-plane ligand field strength as evidenced by a small Aâ value (131Â G). TD-DFT calculations have been performed to assign the electronic transitions for this complex.
