Abstract
The X-ray crystal structures of two dinuclear NiII complexes of a tridentate Schiff base reveal that the conformations of the ligand are different which have been studied and explained by DFT calculations. The results show that in one of the complexes, the energetically less favorable conformation is stabilized via intermolecular noncovalent interactions.
