Abstract
A benzoyl hydrazone based dimeric dicopper(II) complex catalyzes the aerobic oxidation of catechols to the corresponding quinones (catecholase like activity) in a slightly basic medium, and the microwave assisted oxidation (without added solvent) of 1-phenylethanol to acetophenone by tBuOOH.
