Abstract
The nature of the compound formed from copper acetylacetonato and bppz is influenced by the presence of different counter anions and solvent systems giving rise to the formation of dimeric [{Cu(acac)}2(μ-bppz)2]X2 (Xâ = BF4â, PF6â, BPh4â) or monomeric [Cu(acac)(bppz)(ROH)](BPh4)·ROH (R = Et, Me).
