Abstract
A new hexanuclear anionic rhenium cluster complex [Re6S8(CH3COO)6]4- have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis, IR, 1H NMR, UV/vis, and luminescence spectroscopies. The complex is the first demonstration of any chalcogenide hexanuclear clusters coordinated with acetic acid anions.
