Abstract
The Ï-acetylide complexes [Pt{4â²-(Np1)-trpy}(CCPh)]SbF6 (1) and [Pt{4â²-(Np1)-trpy}{CC(CH2)2CH3}]SbF6 (2) [4â²-(Np1)-trpy = 4â²-(1-naphthyl)-2,2:6â²,2â³-terpyridine] exhibit unimolecular 3MLCT emission in fluid solution and in a low concentration butyronitrile glass; but when the concentration is increased 3MMLCT emission is observed consistent with the solid state emission.
