Abstract
Synthesis and characterization of monomeric [MoO2L(CH3OH)], and polymeric dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes [MoO2L]n, as well as of the oxomolybdenum(V) complexes [MoOCl2(HL)] are described. In all complexes, the molybdenum atom is coordinated by a different N-substituted pyridoxal thiosemicarbazonato ligand via three donor atoms: phenolic-oxygen, imine-nitrogen and thiol-sulfur. In the molybdenum(VI) complexes the ligand is doubly-deprotonated whereas in the molybdenum(V) complexes it is mono-deprotonated.
