Abstract
A series of cationic arene ruthenium metalla-prisms was synthesized and isolated as their triflate salts. All assemblies were fully characterized by standard techniques. Despite the presence of flexible 1,3,5-tris(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)-1,3,5-triazinane-2,4,6-trione panels, the metalla-prisms do not allow encapsulation of guest molecules.
