Abstract
Coordination compounds of CoII, CuII, ZnII and CdII with tioconazole (tcnz) were synthesized and fully characterized. In the halide complexes [ML2X2] the metal ion acquired a tetrahedral geometry, while for [CuL4X2] an octahedral geometry was stabilized, as well for the CoII and CuII nitrate compounds. In vitro evaluation of antiproliferative activity of the coordination compounds showed increased cytotoxic and selectivity on the colon carcinoma cell line (HCT-15).
