Abstract
Bis(pyrazolyl)acetic acid form neutral palladium(II), platinum(II) and gold(III) that have typical carboxylic acid behaviour. This includes formation of carboxylate ions, leading to a self assembled platinum complex that has weak interactions between two potassium ions and carboxylate and chloride moieties on four platinum centres. These palladium, platinum and gold complexes rapidly undergo substitution reactions with l-cysteine.
